Mr Men makeover has turned me into Little Miss Grumpy

The Mr Men - don’t you wish you’d beaten Roger Hargreaves to that idea? Everyone has a favourite and it probably says a lot about your personality whether you favour Mr Happy (suspiciously cheery) or Mr Nosey (gossip lover?)
But something strange has happened to the Mr Men.

I’ve always been less keen on the characters created after Roger Hargreaves’ death, but I let it go. Then last week I noticed something had happened to the Mr Silly on my nephew’s copy.
My favourite Mr Men were not based on the stories (actually I prefered Hargreaves’ Timbuctoo series) but on footwear.
Yes that’s right I loved the shoes worn by Mr Silly (yellow with black swirls) and Mr Noisy (red with black swirls).

I wanted those shoes - although they looked heavy and clumpy. But now Mr Silly wear normal shoes.
Somehow I recovered but then I discovered on the web that the Mr Men themselves have been Trinny and Susannah-esque treatment for a new animated series.
This believe it or not is Mr Strong.

Yuck!
Mr Strong should look like this.

Chorion paid £28million for the right to Mr Men and Little Misses - someone give it them back!

Mr Who?
I don’t remember these fellas do you?
Mr Nervous. Mr Rude. Mr Scatterbrain. Mr Christmas. Mr Stubborn. Mr Birthday. Mr Good. Mr Perfect. Mr Cheerful.

Mr Men facts: Mr Tickle was first in 1971. He was created when Roger was asked by his son Adam ‘What does a tickle look like?’
An estimated 100 million Mr Men books have been sold in 22 countries.
There are currently 48 Mr Men and 35 Little Miss books.
The Mr.Men show is shown on Five.

Let's just sit back and totally chill out. All those vivid colours and crazy characters make for classic viewing.

Which is your favourite Mr Men?
