Writers' & Artists' Yearbook 2009 short story competition is launched

Here's an opportunity for both published and unpublished writers of all nationalities and ages to win £500 and a place on a respected writing course.

The lucky winner of the Writers’ & Artists’ Yearbook 2009 - short story competition will be offered a place on the Arvon Foundation residential writing course worth up to £575 at a choice of four historic houses in the UK.
The writer will also have their story published on the Writers' and Artists' Yearbook website.
The challenge is to write a story for adults of no more than 2,000 words on the theme of 'conflict.'
Entrants can submit only one story and must be registered on the W&A Yearbook website. Stories must then be emailed by February 14th 2009. No purchase is necessary.
