
Publishers Crème de la Crime are running a short story competition to find unpublished writers to feature in a new anthology. The newcomer's work will feature alongside bestselling crime authors including Reginald Hill, Peter James and Sophie Hannah.
Award-winning author Mark Billingham will select the winner and the anthology will be published in Spring next year with £1 from every copy going to breast cancer charity Genesis Appeal.
Entries for the Criminal Tendencies competition must be up to 3,000 words and authors must be previously unpublished in the crime genre. Stories can be sent via post or email and the deadline is Friday October 31st and there is a £5 fee which includes a donation to Genesis.

Crème de la Crime are also open to submissions from new talent for novels, again take a look at their website for guidelines, for example their wordcount requirement is 70-80,000. They have also put a lot of detail into what they want and don't want which is really refreshing.
