Scottish Book Trust is running a writing competition for all youngsters aged 12 to 16 - organisers tell me they've even had an entry from the Netherlands!

The challenge ties in with the writer-in-residence project featuring author Keith Gray who has recorded five podcasts as a writing masterclass to help entrants write the best story you can.
The winning story will be published in association with a national newspaper and Keith will also visit the student's school.
Stories must be between 1,000 and 2,500 words in a word document which must be emailed along with contact details including those of the entrants' school.
The deadline is December 12th, 2008.
Find out more at www.scottishbooktrust.com and good luck!
