Simply Books in Cheshire has announced a special visit from children's illustrator and writer Lauren Child.
Lauren will be promoting the paperback edition of her book 'That Pesky Rat.'
Simply Books said: "we are pleased to be donating proceeds from our sale of this special edition of "That Pesky Rat" to support UNESCO's work with homeless children across the world. "
There are two halves to the event, the first at 4pm is a ticket-only book signing (Lauren will only be signing books bought on the day at the shop.) Tickets are £6 including a copy of That Pesky Rat. Photos will also be taken which you can buy.
The second part is a competition for 7-11 year-olds is for 40 children to spend an hour (2-3pm) with Lauren who will answer questions and talk about her role as an Ambassador for UNESCO.
To enter you will need to pre-order your copy of "That Pesky Rat" and send in your entry.
