Rejections from Take a Break and Fiction Feast

Posted by Susan Humphreys on December 3, 2008 10:18 AM |

Oh I wish I had some good news for once. Got home last night to find two short stories returned, this time from Take A Break/Take a Break's Fiction Feast.

The letters are addressed to me but are standard rejection ones. They both say: "Thank you for letting me read your manuscript(s) for both Take a Break and Take a Break's Fiction Feast. I regret that it is not quite suitable for either magazine and so I am returning your work. Please be assured that it has been read and considered.
It goes on to repeat their requriements for were and how to send stories.
It also gives the basic fiction requirements at the end.
TAB 1,000-1,200 (max) words. We're looking for a strong plot with a twist in the tail.
Fiction Feast - All lengths, all types of story.
You can also request author guidelines, but naturally they say reading the magazine is the best way to see what would be right for them.
Only have a few outstanding stories now which I sent to the Weekly News and My Weekly.
