Here's a fantastic festival which is looking for new short plays by young people aged 13-18 and from across Sefton.
In 2009, Theatre in the Rough is producing 16 world premieres by 48 new writers across three shows at the Southport Arts Centre and at The Brindley
in Runcorn, this May.

Well as promised here's a little bit about my recent trip to Stockholm, Sweden.
The city is a series of islands and the old part is incredible, we were able to have a good look round on our first day and then the next morning we awoke to thick snow. It didn't stop all day which made our walk to Djurgarden very interesting!

Hi, I'm back from Stockholm, and I had a wonderful time, before I fill you in all the details (and sort through my photos!) here's a competition for you to have a go at - not long till the deadline though.
This Morning are running a short story competition where the writer of the winning entry will enjoy a four day writing holiday in Istanbul and their story will be published in She magazine.

Scholastic have teamed up with one of their best-selling children's authors, MG Harris, (The Joshua Files: Invisible Cityand Ice Shock) for a children's World Book Day story competition.

Well I think my aching muscles have recovered from my zoo keeper for a day experience - and that's mainly the ones I use for smiling!
I had a fantastic time at Lakeland Wildlife Oasis on Friday thanks to the two young keepers there Lisa and Adam, not forgetting Angela who made me a wonderful lunch and looked after my mum who came along for the day and took some pictures for me.
