Countryfile magazine writing competition
BBC Countryfile Magazine are running a competition to celebrate the centenray anniversary of the birth of Sir Peter Scott, who founded the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT).
The competition is to write about one of your experiences of great British wildlife in no more than 100 words!
The magazine says: "It could be a description of natural phenomena you have witnessed, a chance encounter with wildlife, or conservation work you have been involved in."
The winners receives a fantastic short break at Thornbury Castle in South Gloucestershire including a special VIP day at the WWT Slimbridge reserve. The winning story will be published in the September issue of Countryfile magazine.
Entrants must be 18 and your story must not have been used elsewhere. You need to complete an entry form and attach it to your story and the deadline is June 1st 2009.
